The Bowls Development Alliance (BDA) is delighted to announce that Mr Steve Watson, Chairperson Disability Bowls England has been appointed Non-Executive Advisor – Disability to the BDA Board.
Disability Bowls England, (DBE) is the co-ordinating body for the bowlers of all ages and abilities with a physical, sensory, or learning(intellectual) Disabilities.
Malcolm Douglas , Chair of the BDA commented:
“This is excellent news, Steve will keep the board fully informed about the needs of the bowler with disabilities, we will also benefit from Steve’s wider experience of the sport. DBE is an integral part of the game of bowls and we are excited to be working with them”.

Steve Watson, Chairperson – of the DBE re-enforced these comments:

The Bowls Development Alliance was established in 2010 by Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association, British Crown Green Bowling Association, and English Short Mat Bowling Association in conjunction with Sport England, as the development arm of the sport, to work across the codes to develop the game, invest government funding effectively and to inspire more people to participate in the sport.
